Introduction
Bluestones One were successful in the tender for the Boots Macro scheme activity and were subsequently awarded a number of stores to complete.
The scope of works required relaying and merchandising large sections of the store to a new easier to shop customer friendly store plan and increase the macro space of higher performing ranges in line with ever changing customer trends.
First Store!
In Boots Worcester we supplied a team of 8 merchandisers, Team Leader and a Show Material and Display Aid manager to relay this large multi floor store. This was our first opportunity to showcase our ability to completely refresh the store in just 3 weeks and we delivered the project on time and within budget.
Logistics
Boots has a very ambitious roll out programme to maximise their investment with an increased retail sales return.
With up to 4 stores a week for us to complete, Bluestone One enabled over 40 team members working across the country to service the clients requirements.
To provide a consistent approach where possible we paired up our teams with the Boots on site programme managers so they could build successful relationships and drive continuous improvement.
Overcoming challenges
Many of Boots’ key stores are in large city centre locations with very difficult access, logistics and small back of house areas. Bluestones team had to work closely with the store teams to ensure all stock, fixtures and fittings were kept clear, tidy and accessible at all times so that the store could still operate effectively and maintain trading.
Positive feedback and future collaboration
There was a great sense of achievement on completion/handover day, looking at what had been delivered, knowing that the hard work had paid off and our teams were recognised for the standards they had delivered. There are many more stores planned and we look forward to delivering to these high standards.
