We’d like to extend a very warm welcome to Bluestones One’s newest Account Manager, Andy Smethurst.

To get to know Andy, we asked him to take our new starter quiz, here is what he said.

Motivated, dedicated, and integrator.

In your own words, tell us a bit about your background
I have been in retail for over 25 years, starting as a Saturday lad, working my way up to Store Management. I then went on to senior roles of Merchandising Manager, Space Manager, Product Manager, and Operations Manager.

Who do you admire most and why?
My Granddaughter. She is only 5 and is so full of life, joy and excitement, without any of the worries we all have in the world.

Name three people you’d like to invite to a dinner party (alive or dead)
David Attenborough, the Queen, and Will Smith.

What do you do best?
Walking. I love walking the many routes where my caravan is.

What’s your pet peeve?
Bad drivers.

What’s your favourite film?
Shawshank Redemption.

What are you most looking forward to whilst working at Bluestones One?
Meeting new people, job satisfaction and new challenges.

Meet Andy Smethurst: Account Manager

Tell us about your role at Bluestones OneI’m an Account Manager.  How would you normally start your day at work?Reviewing the previous days/night’s progress and activity to ensure everything has gone smoothly, is on track and the customer is happy. What does a typical day at work look like for you?It can be very varied from one day to the next, but my priority is ensuring our customers receive best in class service from us. What do you find challenging?Last minute changes to plans or schedules can be challenging, but this can also be rewarding when the project lands and you know the changes were for the best. What do you enjoy?The variety of customers, projects and the enthusiasm of the people that I work with. What’s the best thing about working at Bluestones One?The people and the variety of projects.
