Hobbycraft has become the largest arts and crafts retailer in the UK, with over 100 stores nationwide. Bluestones One are very proud to be part of their journey working alongside their new store team and colleagues, merchandising and preparing the store ready for the ‘grand opening’.

Challenges

With over 25,000 arts and craft lines to merchandise, Bluestones One carefully handpick the most experienced colleagues.

The merchandising team worked with precision, effectiveness, and speed over several nights taking in deliveries, unpacking stock, installing fittings, moving stock and merchandising the shelves to a high standard, ensuring that every item is to plan.

Results

The results speak for themselves, due to the commitment of the team, Hobbycraft Wimbledon was able to open a day early, much to the delight of the customer. A fantastic result with great feedback!

Tell us about your role at Bluestones OneI’m a Team Leader. How would you normally start your day at work?Arriving on time and confirming by text. What does a typical day at work look like for you?All days vary but I usually start my day with a team meeting to discuss the day ahead, I then allocate the work out to staff and then I support where needed. What do you find challenging?I’ve had a few times which have been challenging but not to the degree that you can’t work through them. What do you enjoy?I really enjoy travelling and meeting new people. What’s the best thing about working at Bluestones One?My team colleagues!
