Bluestones One is part of Bluestones Investment Group (BIG), and in November, Bluestones Group celebrated another successful year at the annual BIG Awards evening at Chester Racecourse.

This year, brands from across the Group, as well as the central support services, came together for an evening of food, drink, live music, casino fun, and to recognise achievements.

Over 20 winners were recognised for their achievements during 2021, which included top-performing consultants and brands, and the people who embody the Group values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration and Enjoyment.

This year, Bluestones One were delighted to win the Overall Profitability Award. This is a fantastic achievement for the team as it highlights their hard work and determination over the past year. So a huge congratulations and well done goes to the Bluestones One team!

Every year, all award winners are treated to an award winners’ trip and this year it was revealed that winners will be jetting off to Dubai in 2022.

Bluestones One team members Managing Director, Gary White; Operations Director, Gary Lowe; Director, Ashley Jewitt; and Operations Manager, Richard Jones also received awards last year for Outstanding Achievement. Prior to this, Bluestones One also won Best New Business in 2019.

On top of this fantastic win for the Bluestones One team, it was also a great opportunity for colleagues across the Group to reconnect and celebrate together. Here’s to another fantastic year ahead!

Meet Mark Goulding: Senior Team Leader

Tell us about your role at Bluestones OneMy role as a Senior Team Leader involves managing teams of merchandisers who are completing anything from small range reviews to full store refits for various clients. How would you normally start your day at work?My day typically begins with reviewing the previous shift’s work, then allocating various projects to my team members. I would also be involved with store meetings and updating our clients on the progress of the review and any foreseeable issues. What does a typical day at work look like for you?A typical day would involve site meetings and making sure my teams have all the necessary information to complete their tasks. I also train new merchandisers the correct way of working as each client will have specific requests. Throughout the day I will spend time with each of my team members to find out their strengths and weaknesses so I can implement a plan of attack for the day. What do you find challenging?We come up against challenges each day and overcoming them is what I love to do.
