This month, we are proud to recognise Mark Foster as our Employee of the Month for July, in recognition of his outstanding performance and dedication during our first store closure project at B&Q Sutton.

Mark demonstrated exceptional dedication by working tirelessly on the project, often staying behind to ensure all targets were met. His unwavering focus and willingness to go above and beyond regular working hours were instrumental in the project\’s success. Throughout this assignment, Mark maintained a positive attitude, never once complaining about any aspect of the job.

Communication is key in any project, and Mark excelled in this area. We are delighted to announce that Daniel Parker has been named Employee of the Month for June, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the B&Q Bathroom Neutron project.

Daniel, who works as one of our team leaders, has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance since the project’s inception. However, it was his remarkable efforts over the past month that truly set him apart, earning him this well-deserved accolade.

The nomination, put forward by Andy Smethurst, highlights Daniel’s numerous achievements and the impact he has made on the project’s success. His work has garnered impressive feedback from both store-level staff and senior leadership within B&Q, underscoring the breadth of his influence.

One of Daniel’s most notable accomplishments has been his flawless execution of store deliveries. To date, he has successfully completed several store implementations, none of which have required any follow-up visits – a testament to his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to getting things right the first time.

Case study – Morrisons Merrion Centre

Summary

Bluestones One have recently supported with replenishment of the store making sure the store has the best availability of stock for their customers. The team were also responsible for assisting the customers with any requests they might have.

Challenges

The main challenge whilst working in a trading store is to ensure the team work at a steady pace to make sure the stock is replenished correctly without causing any disruption to the shopping experience whilst maintaining a polite and professional approach. Additionally the team worked conscientiously to maintain a safe working and shopping environment for all staff and customers

Results

All activity was delivered as requested and on time, ensuring improved stock availability and supporting the store team to drive increased sales.

Case study: Halfords Tyre Cleanse

Summary

Halfords Autocentres contacted Bluestones One with a project they required a trusted partner to be able to deliver. Halfords acquired the Nationwide Autocentres in 2010 and found that the stores had no accurate stock holding information and tyres were unorganised and difficult to find. Bluestones arranged several teams to visit stores across the country to organise the tyres to planogram and load all excess stock on to trailers to be returned to a central hub.

Challenges

When the teams arrived on site there was very little in terms of control and organisation of the tyres. They found it easier to use all available space to organise the tyres in to the correct brand and sizes before starting to merchandise the tyres to the correct planogram in the racking. As the stores were still trading this brought extra challenges with loading bays open and busy, along with the weather elements as the project was completed during winter months.

Results

Bluestones One teams successfully cleansed over 40 stores over 7 weeks. Using the experience and commitment of our onsite teams and project managers we were able to overcome any issues and provide the perfect solution bringing a whole new look into the stores.

Receiving fantastic feedback from the customer for the delivery and results of such a large scale programme.

We greatly appreciate Anthony’s hard work and dedication and we’re pleased to recognise his positive contributions towards the team’s success. Congratulations and thank you, Anthony, for all that you do!

During a recent project the whole team worked incredibly hard, but Anthony’s work ethic and dedication to completing tasks, no matter how difficult, has been outstanding. He’s a highly skilled and respected member of our team and has taken to installation like a duck to water. It’s been a real pleasure to have him on our team and I’m looking forward to our next project together.
