Alternative work options for Education workers
Given the recent government announcements about the impending school closures, we appreciate that many of you will be concerned about your livelihoods and income stream. We share your concerns and want to help wherever we can.
With the issues we’re seeing in supermarkets throughout the country there’s an unprecedented demand for people to assist in retail environments, replenishing their stores, stacking shelves and supporting either Grocery, DIY or Health & Beauty retailers. Bluestones One is actively working with sister companies within the Bluestones Group – including Connex Education and the Education Staffing Partnership– to make alternative work options such as this available.
These roles will be reporting directly to store staff and supporting them to stock shelves. Hourly rate will be £9 per hour.
Shift lengths and times will vary between 4-12 hours, over days, nights and weekends. Could you please complete the below short questionnaire and we will be in touch as soon as we have confirmed shifts available.
This form has now closed. No more applications are being taken.
Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and the Government’s announcement today (23rd March 2020) regarding restricted movement, if you’re still interested in alternative work with a retailer then you should contact them directly to see if they’re still recruiting and arrange a potential interview. We understand a number of the main supermarkets are still recruiting and are taking people on via a ‘fast-track’ process. Unfortunately, we cannot process any further applications for education workers looking for alternative work at this time.
