Our part of our meet the merchandisers series, we’re speaking to merchandisers throughout Bluestones One to find out about their experiences, why they enjoy their job and what they do on a daily basis. This time we’re focussing on Jason Crawley, one of our Team Leaders.
When did you start working for Bluestones One?
How did you find out about the positions at Bluestones One?
I found the position online after looking into new employment opportunities that would allow me the job satisfaction I wasn’t finding with other employers.
What do you enjoy about working for Bluestones One?
The constant variation in what is required to complete different projects. We are always looking to improve and be as productive as possible, not only for our company but the work we deliver to our clients.
What do you do in a typical work day?
I always start every day with an introduction to our clients and scope out any detailed work or expectations on what we are trying to achieve.
I then have all members of my team attend for a brief meeting in which we can cover all aspects of the day, the expectations, review any challenges we may have and to simply ensure we are all trying to achieve the same objectives as a team.
What opportunities have you been given since working for Bluestones One?
I have had various opportunities which have allowed me to lead teams for various different clients, which can range from 3 colleagues to 30. I have worked alongside project managers to discuss feedback on relevant implementation of large projects and lead the trial teams on process which has lead to a national rollout.
I have also taken part in recruitment for our company due to our growth this past year – I was able to discuss with new colleagues the day to day role and support and advise on any questions they may have had as I have the experience of doing the job on a daily basis.
Would you recommend this job to your friends and family?
Yes. Bluestones One really works hard, not only to focus on the clients and its growth but also ensuring the people they have working for them are aware they are a priority within the business – as the business is only as good as the colleagues representing it. I feel this is greatly achieved and look forward to many more years with the company.
